Pilates is a low-impact method of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates. It focuses on the balanced development of the whole body, building core strength and working on postural control – helping you to improve balance, develop flexibility, stretch and tone. Classes are usually done on the mat and require no special equipment, however some sessions may include work with Therabands, weighted balls and foam rollers to add a different aspect to the sequences.
Our experienced instructor Mel designs each class with you in mind. Mel will take you through a sequence of movements designed to get you feeling better and moving well, building and progressing each week within your comfort levels.
