Our experienced chiropractor Philippa (she/her) graduated with a Master of Chiropractic degree from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2012. At her graduation, Philippa was awarded the Royal College of Chiropractor’s prize for “Best Research Project” for her work into how the thoughts and feelings we have about back pain can affect our response to care.
After graduation, Philippa completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Professional Development in Chiropractic. Philippa received the Royal College of Chiropractor’s Heale Award for “Outstanding Post-Graduate Training candidate” for the 2012/2013 year. This prize is given to just one chiropractor in the UK each year and recognises Philippa’s commitment to continued learning and creating positive change in her clinics. Most importantly, the award recognises her significant contribution to improving patient care and positive development of the chiropractic profession.
Philippa established Acorn Health in 2014 and due to the success of the clinic, it expanded in January 2017 and she welcomed a number of additional therapists to her team.
A knowledgeable and experienced chiropractor, Philippa is passionate about helping you on your path to recovery. She uses a range of techniques and enjoys working with you to develop a treatment plan that suits your unique needs. Furthermore, she is trained to work with people of all ages.
Philippa has developed a specialist interest in chronic pain management and is also a qualified Personal Performance Coach. As a result of her training, Philippa has extensive skills to help those with persistent pain who may have barriers to recovering well. Philippa is a Licenciate of the Royal College of Chiropractors specialist Pain Faculty. These specialist Faculties recognise practitioners who have undergone further Masters level training and education in a specialist area.
Philippa is currently studying for a Masters level Diploma in “Understanding Psychosocial Barriers in Musculoskeletal Conditions.”
