Homeopathy is an individualised, holistic form of medicine, which means Diana looks at you as a whole person not just the symptoms or complaint. Your physical, mental and emotional responses are interconnected and combine to express your individuality, which includes not only your symptoms but how you respond to them.
Diana has taught at various colleges for homeopathy in the South of England as well as teaching doctors training to be homeopaths. Diana will be running workshops at Acorn Health, to enable you to treat minor ailments yourself.
Hypnosis can be defined as an absorption in inner experience, which, together with appropriate suggestions, can facilitate helpful changes in thoughts, feelings and behaviours. In addition, hypnosis can facilitate physiological change and has been shown to be effective in treating individuals with a variety of difficulties.
These conditions include:
- IVF preparation
- Hypnosis for childbirth
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Chronic pain
- Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Anxieties, fears and phobias
- Habit control e.g. weight loss and maintenance, stopping smoking, trichotillomania (hair pulling) and nail biting.
Hypnosis for Birth Training
Hypnobirthing teaches you the art of using your own natural birthing instincts, and teaches you and your birth companion the art and joy of experiencing birth in a more comfortable manner. You will not be in a trance or sleep state. You will be aware, fully in control and profoundly relaxed.
Diana was a midwife for many years within the NHS and in the community. She combines this knowledge with her expertise as a Hypnotherapist to provide a very comprehensive course for you and your birth companion. This course will give you all the obstetric knowledge and tools that you need to birth confidently and with ease.
Diana teaches The Wise Hippo Birthing Programme which is relevant to UK midwifery practices.
Diana’s next hypnobirthing course starts on Monday, 10th July 2017. Click here for more details.
