What is Reflexology?

A gentle, non-invasive therapy, reflexology is increasingly linked to traditional Chinese medicine. It works on the principle that there are specific points in the hands, feet, lower legs, face and ears which mirror specific organs and systems in the body. Reflexology works to identify and clear any “blockages” in these systems. It can help with relaxation, circulation, improving sleep, and releasing tension.
Treatment may be of benefit to pregnant women, providing support and promoting general wellbeing. There is no evidence to suggest that reflexology can assist with labour, but you may find it promotes relaxation at a time when anxiety levels may be quite high.

What to expect at a session

Your first session includes a lifestyle and general health consultation which will highlight areas Marian needs to focus on. You will be invited to ask any questions you may have prior to starting treatment. Treatment is very relaxing! If you are having foot or hot stone reflexology you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks and sit in a reclining chair. If you are having hand or facial reflexology you can sit in a regular chair or lie on a massage couch if you would prefer.

After your session you will be provided with aftercare advice.

Treatment Fees

One hour session (foot, hot stone, facial or a combination treatment)- £60.00
