What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that is increasingly linked to traditional Chinese medicine. It works on the principle that there are specific points in the hands, feet, lower legs, face and ears which mirror specific organs and systems in the body. Reflexology works to identify and clear any “blockages” in these systems, and can help with relaxation, circulation, improving sleep, and releasing tension.
Reflexology may be of benefit to pregnant women, providing support and promoting general wellbeing. There is no evidence to suggest that reflexology can assist with labour, but you may find it promotes relaxation at a time when anxiety levels may be quite high.
